I began developing a taste for wine in the 80s and early 90s and then jumped right in as an Area Representative for the Opimian Society in 1997. Since then I have managed to visit many of the wonderful wine regions of the world, and had the pleasure of sipping great wines with friends both old and new.
In 2006 I started writing about wine in a column in the Express and was soon switched to The Telegram. After ten years and 500 columns that gig came to an end and now we have what is perhaps the natural next step, this blog.
My columns were always substantially tilted towards learning about wine with only a little bit about tasting and rating individual wines. I intend this blog to continue with that theme.
If you have just subscribed to my blog, then thank you and I hope you find it interesting.
